A Kaiapoi based business are currently seeking an experienced cook for their Indian restaurant.
Previous experience in a similar role is required and duties will include -
Preparing and cooking a wide range of Indian dishes including entrees, curries and specialty items whilst adhering to specific recipes and quality standards. Use of traditional cooking techniques and ingredients. The ability to adjust recipes as needed to accommodate specific dietary requests, including vegan and vegetarian options.
Ensuring ingredients and supplies are stocked and fresh whilst adhering to food safety and hygiene regulations.
Collaborating with the culinary team to develop new menu items and specials.
Maintaining a clean and organised kitchen environment.
Managing time efficiently to meet service deadlines.
Assisting with inventory management and supplier orders.
Continuously learning and applying new cooking techniques and trends.
Collaborate with the kitchen team to manage orders and ensure timely delivery of meals.
Job Requirements
Certificate or higher in relevant qualification (like cookery or cookery management, hospitality, hospitality management, etc.), or one year of relevant work experience. The candidates applying will either have to meet the qualification or have the relevant work experience requirement (any one)

- Monday to Friday shifts and weekends as required. (30 hours per week)
