Hands-On-Civil Construction Manager

A progressive and established civil construction company based in the Tararua area is seeking a skilled and experienced Hands-On Civil Construction Manager to oversee and manage the successful execution of medium-scale civil works projects. The company has an excellent track record, is busy with a good book of forward work, committed to delivery of high quality outcomes through innovation, safety and excellence ensuring every project is completed on time within budget. Key responsibilities: -Plan, organise and manage all phases of civil works projects from initiation to completion. -Develop projects schedules, track progress and ensure timely delivery -Monitor and control budgets, resources and expenditures to meet financial targets -Lead and where necessary offer Hands-On assistance to operational teams, including operators, drainlayers, truck drivers, labourers and subcontractors -Ensure compliance with safety regulations, quality standards and environmental guidelines -Manage clients, stakeholders, engineers and regulatory bodies to ensure project objectives are met and relationships are maintained -Identify risks, troubleshoot issues and implement effective solutions -Prepare regular reports on project status including financial and progress updates for senior management. -Develop and submit tender proposals

Five plus years of experience in civil works project management with a proven track record of delivering successful projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil engineering or construction management with a proven ability to lead teams, competitively tender for work, manage budgets and deliver projects within the required deadlines. HT Class 4 Driver licence preferred.
