Cairnfield House is a privately owned caring Rest Home and Hospital located in Whangarei, New Zealand. We pride ourselves in delivering excellent quality of care in our comfortable and cozy home for our residents. We currently have an opening for a full time Health Care Assistant to join our team in providing our wonderful residents with exceptional care in both our Rest Home and Hospital wings. Ongoing training will be provided throughout the year including support while working through your Careerforce NZ Training should you decide to do this.
Mo te turanga mahi - About the Role
This full time position (no less than 31 hours per week) is open to all levels of applicants from beginners through to Level 4. You will be working rotating rostered morning, afternoon or night shifts including weekends. You will be paid a Weekend allowance / or Nocte allowance on top of your hourly rate when working weekend or nocte shifts.
Job Requirements
The successful applicant will need to demonstrate that you are honest, friendly, have empathy to our residents and their families/whanau, excellent communication skills - both written and verbal; and be a team player. Punctuality is essential. We are open to all levels of applicants from beginners (if you are a New Zealander) through to Level 4.
- Must be available to work weekends on a rostered basis - Reliable, honest and a clear communicator - Enjoy working within a team environment - Ideally hold a current First Aid Certificate - Clean Ministry of Justice record and consent to a Police Check - Provide x 2 forms of ID - Updated CV with x 2 contactable referees
