Home based carers
About this job
Home based carers are required to care for people with disabilities and the elderly out in the communities of Whakatane, Kawerau and Opotiki.
Responsibilities will vary greatly depending on the needs of the client. As a home based carer you could be administering medication, assisting clients with day-to-day tasks, both at home and out in the community.
This workplace prides itself on looking after staff and full training is provided. Upon 12 weeks of service successful applicants can pursue NQZA accredited qualifications in health, levels 2, 3 and 4.

Job Requirements
As you will be in the homes of other people, all applicants will be vetted by Police and you must have a clean record. Applicants will ideally have a full clean driver licence in the event the client needs to get somewhere.

- Hours can span from 5 to a full working week depending on client needs. Your contract will be part-time or fulltime permanent. (25 hours per week)

- $23.15/hr start with pay band steps.
