Local Trust is looking for a Financial Wellbeing Advisor .To support whaanau in striving for a better future by delivering high-quality financial mentoring to whaanau or individuals at risk of or in economic crisis. As part of their Budgeting Services team, you will help support the achievement of sustainable outcomes through financial mentoring and wrap-around support from other services as needed. Objectives ● Individuals Whaanau have learnt how to manage their finances and debts to prevent disconnections, fines, repossession, eviction and insolvency. ● Individuals and Whaanau become debt free or are on a path to becoming debt free. ● Individials and Whaanau can confidently meet the financial needs of their families. They have gained control of their financial situations. Whaanau are able to live prosperous and successful lives. Clients are better able to invest in their futures. Key Responsibilities Working alongside clients to help them gain control over their finances. Assessing the financial situation of individuals and whaanau and setting objectives and goals. Supporting clients and whaanau if applicable. Carrying out all necessary functions and negotiating any changes associated with the clients financial situation. Maintaining good working practices. Attend meetings/ongoing training as required. Keeping records as required. Imparting money management skills to clients as requested. Ability to support newly trained Financial Wellbeing Advisors.
Job Requirements
Key Skills Technical ● Experience using G-Suite ● Full NZ Drivers licence ● Qualification of level 4 or higher in NZ Certificate in financial services Preferably completed Financial Mentor Introductory Course, the Supervision and provisional period, and gained a Certificate of Achievement of Financial Mentor.
