MID-OCTOBER START Summer kiwifruit orchard workers are required on a fixed term basis at various locations in the Te Puke area from approximately 15 October which may lead into harvest season through to early June. Duties include flower thinning, bud thinning, fruit thinning, crush tipping, male pruning and summer pruning. You will be on your feet and working above head and shoulders height for long periods of time. This work is weather dependant with up to 5 to 6 days of work available. Closed footwear must be worn on orchard – gumboots and sneakers are suitable. Tools are provided by the employer. Training is provided. You will be required to have secured accommodation within daily distance to the chosen area prior to applying.

Job Requirements

Experience preferred but not essential Certificate in Horticulture 3 beneficial but not required Own transport and minimum restricted drivers licence necessary. To provide a CV / resume. Minor criminal convictions considered.

Monday – Sunday operation 7am-6pm weather dependant. (30 hours per week)
