Key Responsibilities:
Review & Assess: Work alongside our teams and evaluate our current training and development programs across all areas of the business. Identify strengths, weaknesses, and areas for improvement.
Revise & Upgrade: Prioritise improvements and create a schedule to revamp existing training materials and methods to align with best practices and industry standards. Ensure content is relevant, engaging, and tailored to the specific needs of our boat tours, retail and cafe operations.
Implement: Develop and execute new training programs and processes to enhance the onboarding and induction experience for new hires, and the continuous development of existing staff. Ensure that solutions have a focus on service and increased productivity.
Monitor & Evaluate: Regularly assess the effectiveness of training programs through feedback, performance metrics, and customer satisfaction. Make data-driven recommendations for continuous improvement.
Collaborate: Work closely with management and team leaders to understand their training needs and challenges and upskill them in the delivery and review of training within their departments.
Innovate: Stay updated on the latest trends and advancements in training and development. Introduce innovative techniques and tools to enhance the learning experience.
Job Requirements
Preferred Experience: 3+ years proven experience in Learning and Development, ideally working with small teams. Experience in the tourism, retail, or hospitality sector, with a good understanding of the challenges of seasonal rotation. Demonstrated ability to assess business process and training needs, develop tailored programs, and measure their effectiveness. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and inspire diverse teams. Creative problem-solving skills and a passion for enhancing customer experiences and productivity through staff development. Proficiency in using learning management systems (LMS) and other training tools.

- We are open 7 days 7.30am-4.00pm and our rosters include weekend working. (30 hours per week)
