Seafood Process Worker

A reputable Rodney-based seafood processing company are looking for a motivated applicant to join their dynamic team. The ideal candidate would have some prior shucking experience, but someone with the right attitude can be trained into the role. Your duties include, but are not limited to: - Washing, grading, and packing oysters to meet industry and company quality standards. Ensuring all oysters are frozen within the specific HACCP controls - Grading and packing oysters ensures company grading and quality standards are met at all times. - Packing orders as laid out in the live-pack operations manual. - The role is physical and so it is not for the faint of heart - Ensuring containers and equipment properly stored. - Opening oysters in a trade acceptable manner that meets industry and company quality standards. - Meeting opening volume requirements as set by the company.
A daily minimum of 75 trays is expected after 4 weeks of continuous employment. Some on-farm work may be required.
