Meat Processing Worker
About this job
10 positions available at a plant, 10 minutes south of Timaru. Processing duties and tasks including but not limited to: loading cartons onto pallets or containers, process by-products, clean and sanitise equipment and work areas. Process hides and pelts. Pack boned and sliced meat into cartons. Move carcasses to chillers and freezers. Expression of interest form to be completed - speak to the Timaru Work Broker about this. Up to date CV required. Expression of Interest form to be completed at Timaru Work and Income office along with an up to date CV to be provided.
Job Requirements
Able to drive to and from work. Full drivers licence required as working evening shifts. Ability to work with animal processing/red meat environment. Able to stand on feet 8 hours per day, lift 25kg throughout the shift, pass a drug test and medical, have a satisfactory Ministry of Justice result, ability to follow instructions (food safety, HSE rules and guidelines. Ability to work Monday-Saturday and overtime when required. Provide at least 1 work reference.

- Currently Monday-Saturday 3pm-11pm. Optional washdown finishing at 1am. Start as soon as possible (37.5 hours per week)
