Class 2 Truck Driver- Manual and Automatic

Onehunga based house moving company is looking for a Class 2 Truck Driver to join their team. Duties include - Drive and operate truck. Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking, and break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures Check the condition of the load and that it is secure. Keep records of and check invoices for goods they carry- Plan the best delivery route Make deliveries or pick up goods. Document and log work/rest periods and kilometres spent driving and retain fuel/toll receipts. Find ways to conserve resources, including fuel, to benefit the business Observe and report equipment or mechanical failures immediately Report any accidents or vehicle issues encountered while driving to supervisors Maintain vehicle equipment; clean windows, windshields, and mirrors as needed. Keep the interior of the vehicle clean of debris and clutter

Ideal candidate - Must have a valid full Truck Driver's license (Minimum Class 2) with ability to drive manual and automatic Available to Work on weekends Must pass drug and alcohol tests. Must have a clean driving record. Physically fit to be able to load and unload truck manually. Work involves packing, loading and unloading trucks with house hold items, lift heavy items with care Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
