Skilled Builder Labourer/hammer hand

West Auckland property maintenance company is looking for a skilled labourer/hammer hand to join their busy team.

Departing from the company depot in a work vehicle to various work sites, the suitable candidate should hold a full clean NZ driver's license.

Your work day will consist of but not limited to the follow tasks: - Comprehend specifications in blueprints, sketches or building plans to prepare project layouts and determine dimensions and materials required. - Cut or shape timber, plastic, fiber glass, and other materials as needed. - Clean and prepare construction sites for various tasks. - Prepare plumbing and draining system for installation. - Prepare formwork for foundations and concrete pours. - Build or repair cabinets, doors, frameworks, floors and other wooden fixtures used in the building. - Erect scaffolding. - Perform any related tasks on building and construction sites as required.

- Must have minimum of 1 year experience in the construction industry. - Must have prior experience in renovation and property maintenance in commercial construction. - Must be familiar with power tools and other construction site machineries. - Understanding of New Zealand’s plumbing and electrical systems will be an advantage. - Basic skills in plastering and joinery will be considered an advantage. - Must have a good attitude and reliability, and be able to work unsupervised and as part of a team. - Must be physically fit and able to do heavy lifting as required. - Must be able to pass drug and alcohol test. - Must be able to pass MOJ.
