Health care assistant

A Dannevirke based employer is looking for Health Care Assistants. This role consists of caring and treatment of residents as required under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse. You will also be required to work under the supervision and direction of our Physio team and provide professional health care which enables our residents to be as healthy as possible. Your duties will be: general personal care, feeding, toileting, mentoring for junior staff and provide exercises with the direction and instruction of Physio. Provide a stimulating and caring environment in which residents can be free to be themselves and make the most of their daily lives. Must have passion and empathy in caring for elderly people. Must be reliable, have patience, tolerance and empathy. Able to pass Ministry of Justice check. Ideal candidate should have around 6 months experience or have a Health Care qualification. Able to work in an ever changing environment. Must be able to work weekends, public holidays and night shifts.
