Kaitohutohu Matua - Partnerships Lead Advisor Maori

As Partnerships Lead Advisor Maori, you report directly to the Senior Manager - Maori Partnerships & Engagement, your skills and expertise are critical to helping us achieve improved outcomes for Iwi Maori and for Aotearoa New Zealand. This role will further embed our commitment to working with Iwi Maori under Te Tiriti and grow its influence and importance to positively increase our engagement with Iwi Maori in the data system. You will provide intensive advice, brokering and facilitation of Partnerships between the organisation and Iwi Maori. This role would suit someone who can:

• Develop and hold relationships with Maori; engage with Post Settlement Governance Entities (PSGEs) with existing commitments • Raise the profile of P&E and partnership opportunities in the regions • Identify opportunities for data partnerships with Maori (Iwi, NGOs, Trusts, Entities); and raise or escalate system blockers to improve process and practice. • Be able to demonstrate matauranga Maori, fluency in te reo, understanding of tikanga and applying Te Tiriti o Waitangi in a work setting own capability
