Water Monitoring Technician
About this job
Looking to develop your practical and technical skills?
We are seeking a Monitoring Technician to join a specialist water utility monitoring team working on critical water and wastewater network monitoring projects across the south of the North Island, whilst also working closely with colleagues in Wellington and Christchurch.
Our monitoring programs underpin large infrastructure upgrades and provide real-time data on network performance, water quality and consent compliance.
This is a physically active, mostly outdoor role. A typical day will see you installing and servicing high tech gadgets in environments such as wastewater manholes, storm water pipes, above ground instrument cabinets and treatment plants.
The nature of the work means you can’t be afraid to get a little dirty from time to time while you work on interesting technical problems.
The site-based aspects are balanced with office based organisational work including checking data, scheduling maintenance, assessing data trends, and reporting on the performance of your sites to engineers, scientists, and managers within our Water team.
The role offers a huge range of skill and knowledge development which open opportunities for career development.
