We are looking for a Trainee Driving Instructor to join our team. We are all about developing people’s potential, and we are seeking someone who would like a unique opportunity to have a career change or return to the workforce.
Our Driving Instructors teach our students/clients how to drive, and instruct experienced drivers how to advance their driving skills and road safety knowledge.
If you are successful:
We will put you through an “I” endorsement on your driver’s licence, supporting you to complete this and give you opportunity to buddy up with our instructors to observe and learn.
Job Description
Driving Instructors will be able to:
Explain the basic mechanical workings of vehicles to clients Demonstrate and explain how to drive a vehicle Coach clients while they are driving Teach clients the road rules and about road safety

Job Requirements
Skill requirements:
Great literacy and numeracy skills Pass a drug test Have a full clean driver license and held it for at least 2 years Pass full pre-employment screening as provided in vulnerable children’s legislation Must meet and maintain “I” (Instructor) endorsement criteria Client-centric and embracing of diversity, and individual needs Good driving skills and driving record Be able to operate manual and automatic vehicles to a high level A thorough knowledge of the road code Awareness of defensive driving techniques and transport regulations Good health and safety knowledge Pass an approved driving instructor’s course Pass a medical check if you have a medical condition that could affect your ability to drive, if you haven’t passed one within with last five years. Personal requirements
Driving instructors need to be:
Friendly and patient, with excellent communication skills Able to react quickly and remain calm in an emergency Able to work as part of the HLC/LTTM team Punctual, mature and responsible Able to inspire confidence in beginners / learner drivers from diverse backgrounds
