We have an opportunity where we are looking to recruit two (2) Animal Management Officer (AMO) in our Whangarei based team.
We are keen to speak to an experienced Animal Management Officer or someone with a positive outgoing attitude.
You will be confident responding to requests for service/complaints as per legislative and bylaw requirements. Undertake investigations of complaints and provide written reports/recommendations to team leader/manager. Undertake compliance/enforcement actions including impounding dogs, property inspections, infringements. Dog/Stock handling. Provide education and advice to dog owners and non-dog owners from all walks of life on safe animal practices.
Becoming an Animal Management Officer is a unique and challenging role that requires a combination of skills, education, and personal attributes.

Job Requirements
You must consent to and be able to satisfy pre-employment checks to progress through the recruitment process. As a minimum these will include: Driver Licence, Credit, Ministry of Justice Criminal History Check. Hold a full NZ driver licence with reliable transport Intermediate computer skills Show a commitment to honesty, integrity and reliability First Aid Certificate would be an advantage Updated CV with at least 1 contactable reference Confident working independently and able to stay calm under pressure while maintaining a solution-focused approach

- This role requires flexibility to work on a 24/7 rotational roster to ensure coverage. (40 hours per week)
