Napier - Pandora employer is seeking a Civil Construction Leading Hand to join their team. This is a full-time role: Mon to Fri anywhere between the hours of 5:30am-7:30pm and Saturday 6:30am-12:30pm. A civil leading hand is required to manage operations at a busy silt dump site as part of the recovery efforts following Cyclone Gabrielle. This role involves: working on-site to lead a team responsible for removing wire fencing and debris from deposited silt. It's an opportunity to play a critical role in restoring impacted areas, while being part of a supportive team. You will also oversee daily operations, coordinate tasks, maintain safety standards, and keep the team on track to meet goals. Experience working in civil construction and high-volume recovery projects is essential for this role.
Job Requirements
To be successful in this role you must have: •Extensive knowledge of civil construction practices •Full licence with own transport •Strong understanding of health and safety regulations •Proven leadership abilities with excellent communication skills •Ability to pass pre-employment checks, including a medical assessment •Must be legally able to work in New Zealand
