Support Worker

We are a small niche residential service for 16 people who have had a traumatic brain injury. We are looking for amazing and caring people people to join and help us to achieve out vision of "Enabling people to thrive and have a unique lifestyle of their choice" We are looking for people who have a genuine interest in supporting the people living in homes to have the best life possible. This is a role that provides a high level of satisfaction, it is very autonomous and enables you to make a real difference in people's lives. The responsibilities of this role include: -Developing relationships with people we support, their families and others involved in their lives. -Supporting residents rehabilitation and independence. taking people out into the community usually on a one to one basis. -assisting with personal care needs, including showering, dressing and grooming. -Administering medication. -Household management and meal preparation -Driving mobility vans -Ability to provide clear documentation -A police check will be required.

-Passion to support people with all their needs -Caring, reliable and trustworthy -Respectful of others differences - Previous experience in Health/Disability sector preferred. - Ability to learn and have the right attitude -Adaptable and flexible - Able to work as part of a team or autonomously -MUST HAVE A FULL LICENSE and comfortable in driving a mobility van (Many residents have their own vehicle) -Good time management and organizational skills -Strong professional boundaries -You need to be available/flexible to work on a rotating rostered basis across all days of the week, normally on a 4 day on and 2 day off rotating roster - MUST PASS A DRUG TEST AND MOJ CHECK
