About this job
Full-time Truck Driver • Drive and operate the company truck to deliver goods to various locations within the Gisborne Region. • Adhere to safety protocols while driving to ensure the safety of yourself and others on the road. • Maintain accurate records of driving mileage, rest and work breaks, and receipts for gas and tolls. • Follow company policies, procedures, and applicable laws regarding vehicle size, weight, parking, route designations, and break times while driving. • Assist with loading and unloading items, ensuring they are properly secured and inspected. • Plan the most efficient delivery routes and keep an accurate log of items being delivered and picked up. • Monitor for any mechanical or equipment issues and report them immediately. • Keep the truck clean and tidy, including cleaning windows, windshields, and mirrors as necessary.
Job Requirements
Valid Class 4 Driver’s Licence with a clean driving record ● Dangerous Goods certificate is preferred. ● Available to work for extended hours if required. ● Physically fit and healthy. ● Hardworking and passionate about work ● Attention to detail ● Able to pass random drug tests
