Health Care Assistant

A General Practice based in Rotorua is seeking a hardworking Health Care Assistant to assist their Clinicians in providing the best care and service to their patients. Your duties will include but are not limited to: general cleaning duties of the practice, infection control, observations, simple wound care, chaperone duties, undertaking supervised assessments, throat swabs and blood tests (training provided). The general practice caters to all ages and requires someone who is hardworking, mindful of safety measures and uses their initiative.

All applicants must have a Full or Restricted license with reliable transport to get to work. Applicants must have excellent pronunciation of Maori names. The general practice is a smokefree environment (includes vaping). A CPR Certificate is desirable but not essential. All candidates must be willing to work hard, show initiative and adhere to safety measures in the workplace. Candidates must be confident using a computer and reasonably literate. You must pass a police check and a drug test.
