Home Care Support Worker (Dargaville)

We are looking for Support Workers around Dargaville to support people to remain active, safe, and independent in their own homes and communities.

What does a Support Worker do? Our support workers are caring people with a commitment to providing the best possible support to our clients. Each client will have individual care requirements and you will support them with all elements of daily living such as personal care, food preparation, mobility or bowel/urinary continence care and ensure medication needs are met. You may also help our clients to participate in the community, undertake shopping for them or help them to take part in their hobbies.

Sleepovers are paid at minimum wage. Milage is also subsidised.

Support Workers need to: • Have a licence – restricted or full • Own vehicle • Have a smart phone with data (minimal data required some usage paid) • Be keen to do all facets of the role including home management/personal cares (involves showering, changing nappies ect) • Must be willing to assist males. • Be transparent with any convictions etc. Police vetting is completed • Be able to pass a pre-employment drug test • Be fit and able to complete the tasks (no back injuries) • Willing to work at least one weekend day regularly, starting at 7:am. • No qualifications are necessary and in fact we often prefer to train people ourselves
