About this job

Two full time dairy farm assistants is required for a dairy business in Mossburn starting in mid September. This business operates three farms and each are milking 600 cows through herringbone sheds. Roster is 8 days on / 2 off, ability to work weekends and early starts a must. You will be motivated, honest, good communicator, team player and enjoy working with animals. Duties includes: • Assist with efficient and hygienic milking routine • Safe handling of animals and report any health and welfare issues • Controls weeds, sets break fences and feeds out as directed • Assisting with nutrient, effluent and water management • Safely use and maintain farm vehicles • Models farm health, safety and wellbeing policies

Ideal applicant will have: • Minimum of six months dairy farming experience • current CV and 2 contactable references. (dairy preferred) • Full class 1 drivers licence • Able to pass drug test.

Employer is able to provide additional training and upskilling to staff. Shared accommodation is available, please enquire for more details. No pets to be brought on farm.
