Junior Surveyor/Field Assistant

A small locally run company is looking for a Junior Surveyor/Field Assistant to join our team in Wellington, providing construction and land development surveying services. We are searching for someone who is working towards a formal Surveyor qualification as a survey technician. Note - salary will depend on skill and experience level.

We are searching for someone who can complete the following tasks efficiently and effectively;

As builts of underground services Occupation survey for land transfer works Set out for construction (i.e. building/house, roading, utilities/services, etc.) Digital levelling for control networks Trig traversing for control networks

We want a team member who is: Enthusiastic Have a great attitude Pay attention to detail Self-managing Positive and motivated Your work in this role will include (but is not limited to) working alongside experienced land surveyors doing a variety of support work, office duties, administration assistance, maintenance and cleaning of survey gear, tracking consumables and learning about the latest surveying technology. The minimum hours of work for the job are 40-50 hours per week.

* Minimum 1 years’ experience within the survey industry, specifically having experience with construction surveying * Full NZ Driver’s license minimum Class 1 (Class 2 would be beneficial) * Is experienced in 12D software * Is experienced in using 12D field * Experience flying survey grade UAV * Working towards UAV pilot CAA Part 101 Certification
