About this job
Carefully maneuver vehicles into position for loading and unloading - Use lifting and tipping devices to assist with the loading and unloading of vehicles - Verify loading documents including weighing before and after loading of goods - Make regular quality checks of vehicles at routine intervals to ensure they can be driven safely - Check the condition of the load, search for any faults and ensure that the truck is properly secured - Collect and verify delivery instructions and plan routes to meet delivery schedules - Pick up goods and make deliveries accurately and on time - Report defects, accidents or violations – accurate and prompt communication - Maintain an accurate and complete record of documents including logbook, fuel card etc - You may also be required to undertake metro or line haul and floating duties with no set run and may involve long-distance travel with nights away from home and an early start.
Job Requirements
DG and Forklift with OSH endorsement or prepared to undergo and clear pre employment and alcohol screening. Must be physically fit
