A local vineyard contract management company based in Cromwell, Central Otago are looking for a Machinery Operator. Ability to conduct the following tasks safely, often in remote locations without direct on site supervision

Spray application operations, including at night, utilising Arag180s rate controllers, Silvan piggy back canopy spray units and Silvan ground spray application units on flat and slopped terrain. Transport of Tractors and implements on a medium rigid truck Tractor mowing operations Mechanical Leaf Plucking using a Pellenc leaf remover Mechanical Trimming using single side and double sided trimmers Mechanical Pruning using a tractor mounted barrel pruner Operation of Bird Net Applicator Use of tractor trailer combinations under nets for harvest operations. Operate a forklift Start and trouble shoot diesel powered generators and pumps as part of Frost Fighting Duties. Frost fighting duties include night and weekend work

Must hold a current New Zealand drivers license Experience of vineyard machine operations on flat and slopped terrain Ability to work under pressure and independently in remote locations Ability to work nights and weekends Excellent attention to health and safety Class 2 Driver’s License Forklift Endorsement (Preferred) Growsafe Standard Certificate (Preferred
