Farm Assistant (Experienced)/Milk Harvester

The responsibility and duties associated with this position require adherence to standard farm operations procedures and policies in order to safely complete task. Only to complete tasks directed by the employer. The following describes the tasks you are required to assist with daily but not limited to. *Daily, milk harvesting, cupping cows, washing cups, hanging cups shed/plant hygiene and R & Mm hosing down and yard setup, pushing back gates and yard gates. *Stock work in shed and foot or with motorbike, shifting stock, drafting marking, stacking and securing cows in the bales with the safety bar, encouraging cow flow and movement through the cowshed. *Shutting cows away in their paddock *Attaching an detaching farm trailers an fuelling motor vehicles *Shifting fences on grass and crop, opening and closing gates, carrying standards and reels. *Farm repairs and maintenance, including cowshed surrounding areas. *Rubbish and dead stock removal. *Weed praying, pen spraying and cowshed hygiene spraying. *Feed, pickup, catch, load and tag calves. *Lifting buckets of milk and pouring into the feeders. Taking calf rearing equipment to the wash room to be cleaned, renewing calf bedding and spraying pens. *Mineral application dusting in paddock or directly on feed. *Any on farm labour duties required to carry out the daily farm activities directed by the employer. **No staff to enter paddocks of full cowshed yard unless directed for safety reason.
