Packaging Machine Operator

An Islington based family-owned business, specialising in contract packaging and the import and export of dry powder and granulated foods is currently seeking packaging Machine Operators. The objective of the role is to efficiently and effectively participate in the manufacturing processes to ensure that production targets are achieved. Performing various manual and machine-operated tasks across different areas of our factories to enable the processing, manufacturing, packing, labelling and distribution of all products. Duties will involve but limited to • Assemble and sign in all raw materials for preparing, mixing, measuring, weighing as required. • Complete all documentation accurately and as per specifications. • Ensure order preoperational checks are completed prior to commencing. • Engage in the mixing and processing of materials following instructed and set procedures. • Work closely with the Team Leader and Supervisor where necessary to ensure the achievement of a high-functioning operation. • Engage manual proficiency in performing physical tasks which may include heavy lifting (up to 25kg)
Shifts are Monday to Saturday either 4pm-midnight, or 6pm – 6am, 6am – 6pm. Ideally candidates need to be open to all of these shifts.
Job Requirements
-Prepare and run food packaging machines, including vertical FFS, horizontal FFS and wrappers. -Assemble and disassemble packaging equipment for cleaning or small repairs. -Operating various printing equipment such as ink-jet coders, heat transfer coders or laser printers -Assemble and sign off all raw materials for preparing, mixing, measuring and weighing as required, as well as packaging materials -Complete all documentation accurately and as per specifications. -Ensure order preoperational checks are completed prior to commencing. -Engage in the mixing and processing of materials following instructed and set procedures. -Work closely with the Team Leader and Supervisor where necessary to ensure the achievement of a high-functioning operation. -Engage manual proficiency in performing physical tasks which may include heavy lifting (up to 25kg) -Can be flexible with the roster based arrangements and self motivated.
