Workshop Labourer

New Lynn based employer is looking for 2x Workshop Labourer's to join their team on a full-time basis.

This is a varied role where you will be helping where required. Your duties could include the following: • Prep and Masking: - Prepare vehicles for painting by masking and priming surfaces. - Apply body filler as necessary to ensure smooth and even surfaces. • Vehicle Preparation for Painting: Ensure vehicles are clean, masked, and primed, ready for the painting process. • Vehicle Movement: Safely move cars around the garage as needed to facilitate workflow and repairs. • Grooming and Washing: Wash and groom cars to maintain cleanliness and presentation standards. • Assist Other Workers: Provide support to mechanics and other shop staff in various tasks and projects. • Loading on Chassis Machine: Assist in loading and securing cars onto the chassis machine for alignment and repair work. • Underbody Sand Blasting: Perform underbody sand blasting to remove rust and prepare surfaces for further treatment. • Removing and Refitting Car Parts: Remove and refit car parts for inspection and repair purposes, ensuring all components are properly reassembled.

• You will need to have at least 2 years experience working with cars either mechanically or repair/panel experience. • Have either a Restricted or Full Licence. • No criminal convictions • Be physically fit and comfortable with some lifting. • Any relevant qualifications are a bonus. • Be able to work as part of a team. • Be able to pass pre-employment drug tests.
