Operations Support Generalist

An engineering business based in Tauranga is seeking an Operations Support Generalist to join their team. Your duties include but are not limited to: - Conducting cleaning tasks, and maintain the order and functionality of the company yard, to keep facilities in top condition - Plant & Equipment: Undertake regular inspections as per company procedures, highlighting any repair and maintenance requirements - Engineering Support: Provide direct support to engineering projects, including painting, cutting, and operating CNC plasma machinery as per customer job requirements - Stores Handling: Handle the day-to-day operations of the stores, ensuring efficient inventory management - Delivery Handling: Facilitate the smooth flow of goods and materials to and from the company facilities. Fleet - Upkeep: Maintain the company fleet, organising regular checks and maintenance - Safety Compliance: Maintain health and safety standards in all areas, managing Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and ensuring all Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) regulations are met - Test and Tag: Undertake regular testing and tagging of electrical equipment to ensure compliance with safety regulations. - General Maintenance: Perform maintenance tasks across various sites to support operational efficiency.

Demonstrated hands-on experience in facilities and fleet upkeep, including direct support for engineering tasks is necessary. All candidates must have a strong capability in organising physical spaces efficiently and have an understanding of health and safety regulations, with the ability to manage essential compliance documentation and perform test and tag operations. You must be quick to identify and resolve issues efficiently. Must have a NZ Drivers Licence and Class 2 (or willingness to obtain) Test & Tag training to AS/NZS 3760 standard (or willingness to obtain). All applicants must be able to pass a police check and a pre-employment drug test.
