Motel Cleaners

SOUTHLAND/TE ANAU: Are you a detail-oriented individual with a passion for cleanliness? If so, we have the perfect opportunity for you! Our Motel in beautiful Te Anau is currently seeking a 4-x motivated and reliable Motel Cleaners to join our team. As a Motel Cleaner, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and comfort of our motel, ensuring a positive experience for all guests. Duties include but are not limited to: • Clean and disinfect motel rooms and public areas, including bathrooms, bedrooms, hallways. • Make beds. • Change linens, and replace towels and toiletries as needed. • Vacuum, sweep, and mop floors to remove dirt, dust, and debris. • Empty trash cans and dispose of waste properly. • Dust and polish furniture, fixtures, and other surfaces. • Report any maintenance or repair issues to management.

Days and hours: • Monday to Sunday – working on a rotating roster. • Up to 30 hours per week. Hours are flexible.

Pay Rate: $23.50 to $24.50 per hour. Pay is dependant on your experience.

You must have the below prerequisites to be considered for this role: • If you live outside Te Anau you must have a clean Restricted or Class 1 Drivers Licence, with own vehicle to get to work. • You must be able to pass a police check and pre-employment drug test, as part of the employment process. • 6 months experience in hotel or motel cleaning is preferred. • Knowledge of cleaning techniques and chemicals. • Ability to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods of time. • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. • Excellent communication skills. • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. • Have an outgoing personality. • You must be willing to work and turn up when required. • Hold New Zealand citizenship or have New Zealand Permanent Residency. • Positive attitude, good communication skills, honest and reliable.
