Truck driver

Permanent and seasonal Truck Driver position available. You will be working around Waikato and Taupo areas. Our seasonal drivers may start at the end of September and go through until mid-May. Our season runs for about 6-7 months depending on weather and growth. We are looking for highly experienced operators for our next harvest season. Daily inspections to ensure mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment is in good working order Maintain accurate logs of working hours as per legislative requirements Secure goods for transport, using ropes, blocks, chain, binders, or covers. Manoeuvre trucks into loading or unloading positions, following signals from loading crew. Report vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations, or damage to the vehicles. Check conditions of trailers after contents have been unloaded to ensure that there has been no damage. Perform basic vehicle maintenance tasks, such as adding oil, fuel, or radiator fluid or performing minor repairs. Operate equipment, such as truck cab computers, CB radios, phones, or global positioning systems (GPS) equipment to exchange necessary information with bases, supervisors, or other drivers Liaise with workshop mechanics for all general maintenance and service requirements of vehicles

Truck & Trailer and Truck only requirements:

- Minimum 6 months experience - Off road experience an added bonus. -Class 4/5 driver licence. - Accurate record keeping for log book requirements.
