Bakery Assistant

A Mangawhai Employer is seeking a Bakery Assistant for their local business.
The following duties include: 1. Clean and sanitize food preparation areas and equipment. 2. Store equipment, trays, utensils, cutlery, and crockery at the right place. 3. Weight and measure ingredients as instructed. 4. Restock used items and inform when food supplies are running low. 5. Assist baker with cutting, moulding and shaping dough or pastry. 6. Assist baker to prepare ingredients such as pastry fillings, sauces, icing etc. 7. Prepare salads, savouries, and sandwiches. 8. Remove baked goods from ovens and cool baked goods. 9. Pack food items and beverage for serving. 10. Perform any other related duties as required.
This is a full-time position based in Mangawhai
Job Requirements
• Able to start at 4am; available to work on Saturdays and public holidays. • Physically fit for heavy liftings and tasks that requires physical strength. • Able to learn fast and work well in a fast-paced environment. • Have strong multitasking and organizational skills. • Previous experience in commercial kitchen is preferable but not essential.
