A local employer in Winton is looking for 8 x Wool-Handlers to join their team for the upcoming season starting mid Oct 2024 through until March 2025. Duties include but are not limited to: • Assisting with wool clip preparation • Catching and rolling fleeces ensuring they are kept clean and intact • Skirting and sorting • Preparing wool for sale • You are to ensure that the work site is kept tidy during the shearing operation. This role is seasonal with a start and finish time from 7am - 5pm. You must have the below prerequisites to be considered for this role: • You will be required to be physically fit. • Motivated, sound work ethic and a team player • Reliable and show the ability to work in a fast-paced team environment. • Hold NZ citizenship, NZ Permanent Residency or valid NZ work permit. • You must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test, as part of the employment process. Hours: • average up to 48 hours per week Days: Monday- Sunday weather dependent, from 7am - 5pm Wage: Pay rate $30 to $50 per hour, depending on experience. If you have what it takes apply now.
