Based at a Whangarei Manufacturing site, you'll be responsible for overseeing machine operations, ensuring production requirements are achieved while driving health and safety, quality, and regulatory compliance in the team.

The key focus for this role is supporting the Operations Manager in creating a positive culture through solid team leadership and the continuing development and implementation of our health and safety culture.

Day-to-day responsibilities will include:

Leading and guiding the various machine operation teams in line with the Production Plan, addressing any challenges and opportunities as they arise. Providing practical Health and Safety advice and coaching. Ensuring all team members are sufficiently trained, qualified, and competent in the execution of their work. Executing workflow processes and procedures focusing on achieving production efficiencies to maximise quality, DIFOT, and gross margin. Providing strong leadership and management to all Day Shift Operations staff, including coaching, training, and assisting with performance management issues if required. What you will bring to the roles is a high performing individual with the following skills and experience: Trade / degree qualified within engineering, or another related field is preferable but not essential. At least 5 years' experience in manufacturing, engineering, or team leadership role. Some knowledge and experience of health and safety legislation, systems, and policies. Demonstrated experience and success in leading a team. Problem-solving skills, understanding root cause analysis. Excellent communication skills - clear, professional, and solutions focused. Well-developed computer skills and competence in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. An attitude of doing whatever it takes. Please Note:
