Connect your passions with a rewarding opportunity! A Manurewa based early learning childhood centre is currently seeking a Day Care Hospitality Person to join their team on a permanent basis. Duties include incorporating a variety of flavours, colours and textures whilst preparing healthy and nutritious morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea for babies/ children aged between 3 months old to 5 years old, preparing separate meals for children with food allergies or diet requirements (dairy-free/gluten-free/egg-free/ vegetarian), baking yummy treats whilst minimising sugar wherever possible, monitoring inventory and ordering supplies as needed, maintaining positive relationships with team members, parents and children, adhering to health and safety regulations and completing all necessary kitchen paperwork relating to food safety. There is opportunity to work 30 hours per week depending on how many children attend the day care. Able to drive a van for pick-up and drop off.

Job Requirements

All applicants must have knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations with strong organisational skills and attention to detail. Note, preference will be given to candidates with previous cooking experience in an ECE setting however employer is also open to considering candidates who have experience cooking for a large family with different dietary requirements/allergies. You must be able to pass a pre-employment Ministry of Justice check and drug test. A full Class 1 driver licence with a reliable transport is essential.

Monday to Friday, 8 / 8:30am - 3 pm. 20-35 hours per week. (30 hours per week)
