Silver Fern farms are currently looking for Meat Processing Workers Day shift and Night Shift. Are you wanting to work in a team environment with great people? Work in an environment where you are learning new skills on the job. We process 100% grass fed red meat, in this role you will learn how to process product safely and learn product specifications, also how to identify risks and report Health and Safety issues. Hygiene requirements must be to a high standard, making sure your personal protective equipment is clean, for product handling. You will learn multiple tasks that meet customer and Regulatory requirements for the Export Market.

Job Requirements

Pre employment drug test required - swab testing as opposed to urine testing - this can detect up to 4-5 days. Ability to get to work reliably. MOJ required. Case by case with criminal convictions - needs to have a discussion about this. Team player. Eager to be at work every day. Eager to advance in an organisation that will develop those from within. Reliability is a must. Go-get-it attitude. If you are signed up with the union, you will also received an extra $1.50 per hour as you will be paid for donning and doffing. ACC history check is required to be declared fit for industry. MOJ required.
