Local Shearing contractor is looking for wool handlers. Experience preferred, however training can be given to those wanting to get into the industry, with good references and who are physically fit to complete wool handling tasks.

A Woolhandler is employed as part of the shearing team to prepare and move the wool. The position may involve camp-out and/or travel jobs so you must be able to travel with the team and do any stay away work. An experienced Wool handler determines how wool is to be prepared, in consultation with the client. You will be required to prepare the wool according to the Head Woolhandler’s instructions. Wool is prepared to the MSL Woolhandling Standards which will be provided to you upon starting employment, unless directed otherwise by the Head Woolhandler or the client. Full training to be provided.
