A well known and respected Funeral business have an opportunity to join the team.

In this role your core objectives include: mortuary procedures and embalming, mortuary cleaning / sanitising, care of deceased, assisting families with dressing loved ones where required, assist work colleagues with their duties when needed, transfer of loved one to and from places at the request of families when needed, polish, trim and restocking of caskets, maintenance of premise and vehicle valeting.

While no prior experience is required, you must be committed to On Call service, have an understanding of loss, good communication and of course an open mind to the Funeral Industry. Some knowledge of tangihanga helps, and it is essential that you are able to communicate at a basic level in Te Reo Maori and/ or Fluent Samoan.

Job Requirements

1- hold a Full Class 1 driver licence 2- have your OWN transport to get to work 24/7 3- Have an understanding of loss/ bereavement, and an open mind for the Funeral Industry. 4- be willing and able to be On Call -24hours a day, 7 days a week. 5- able to communicate at a basic level in Te Reo Maori and/ or Fluent Samoan. 6- any criminal convictions are to be disclosed and will be considered case -by -case
