Paengaroa based employer is looking for winter kiwifruit orchard workers. Daily duties involve pruning - selecting and removing of canes in preparation of next years crop, tying down - securing canes to wires to create an optimal growing environment for kiwifruit, making leaders - creating leaders on new vines and is vital in creating good healthy vines for producing great crops. Work will be in Katikati, Te Puke, Maketu, Pukehina and Paengaroa areas. This work involves working above head and shoulder height and being on your feet for long periods of time. Closed footwear must be always worn on orchard, as part of the health and safety requirements. Gumboots are suitable. You will need secure accommodation within daily travel assistance and be able to travel to the various orchards.

Job Requirements

Experience is not necessary as full on the job training will be given with tools provided if required. Own transport and at least a restricted licence required. Minor convictions may be considered on a case by case basis

Days of work
Mon-Sun 8am-5pm. Days and hours weather dependent (30 hours per week)

$23.15 per hour plus holiday pay
