About this job

Ideally you are an experienced administrator who has worked in business support, administration or customer services roles. In this role, you’ll be the first point of contact for people using our Cemetery services. You’ll provide support to people both face-to-face and over the phone.

You will be responsible for:

• providing administrative and customer service support to the Cemeteries team

• accurate and efficient bookings and responding to enquiries about Cemetery and Crematorium services

• the accurately processing and creating of invoices for prompt payment

• keeping our documentation accurate and up to date and filed following the correct processes

Job Requirements

You’ll need to be empathetic, and emotionally sensitive to the needs of our community.

You’ll need to how us that you:

• have experience working in an administrative or office management role

• have high attention to detail and excellent general administration skills

• are confident and capable of working independently

• have excellent initiative and are super organised

• enjoy working in a team and meeting new people

• are friendly and welcoming, putting the customer at the heart of all you do

• are confident learning new systems and apps

• currently hold, or are willing to obtain, a first aid qualification

• some availability for occasional remote work outside working hours

As this role is based at Whenua Tapu cemetery, you’ll need to have your own reliable transport to and from work.
