Large horticultural farm based in Hastings looking for 2x Growing Assistants how are passionate about growing and the outdoors. As a member of the growing team, you’ll be completing backpack spraying, ensuring that the correct spray applications are carried out responsibly. Operating lawn mowing machinery and assisting with general plant and grounds maintenance, to ensure that the crop has the best growing conditions. You’ll succeed in this role if you have good all-round gardening or horticulture skills and are physically fit. Knowledge of chemicals and Growsafe training would be an advantage, but not essential as training will be provided. You’ll also have a proactive approach towards the maintenance and care of the machinery and equipment used. Good communication skills and the ability to be a self-starter are also necessary. This is a mid-entry level role with the opportunity to develop, so if you’re happy to work in a team environment and demonstrate a positive attitude and desire to succeed, then you’ll fit our culture.
