A North Shore business is looking for an experienced Warehouse Assistant to join their team, reporting to the Warehouse Manager.

The successful candidate will have the following experience, skills and attributes: • At least 1 or 2 years of work experience in a warehouse - a lot of this role will be picking and packing orders and unloading containers with a forklift license • Work to achieve high standards of productivity, safety and efficiency within our Warehousing & Delivery operations

Key Accountabilities: • Container devanning and processing of receipted goods • Assist with keeping the warehouse & stock in a clean and tidy state • Picking, Packing and Dispatch of outwards goods • Delivery of Outwards Goods using company vehicles when required • Dispatch of outwards goods • Delivery of outward goods using company vehicles, when required • Assist to ensure the warehouse is secured • Adhere to systems & procedures, at all times • Adherence to NZTA requirements with warehouse vehicles • Forklift & warehouse equipment operated to safety standards

You need to be open-minded as the employer plans to add quality check (QC) tasks to this role - they will provide necessary training so that you can handle basic inspections of the packaging materials they import

Job Requirements

• New Zealand Citizen or Resident • Full C1 Driver Licence & Forklift Licence (current or previous) • No issues with transport or unrealistic commute distance (we cannot accept applications from candidates who do not live within a reasonable proximity) • At least 1-2 years of work experience in a similar role (NON-NEGOTIABLE) - a lot of this role will be picking and packing orders and unloading containers with a forklift license; the job also involves manual devanning • Physically fit, an above average level of fitness - comfortable with physical work, as most of containers are loose packed and require manual devanning • Open-minded candidates as the employer plans to add quality check (QC) tasks to this role - they will provide necessary training so that you can handle basic inspections of the packaging materials they import • Keen to learn new things • Working as a member of a small to medium-sized team • Be diligent, respectful & productive in your work • Health & Safety awareness • Adhere to the workplace health & safety requirements • Strong attention to detail • Goods & inventory control skills • Excellent customer service skills • Multi-tasking ability • Strong communication skills • Robust work ethic • Must be able to pass drug test • Must pass MOJ/Police check; No convictions are considered • Vaccination not a requirement

Days of work
Monday to Friday and will vary from either 8am-4.30pm or 8.30am-5pm (40 hours per week)
