A North Canterbury based industry leader of foundry & metal casting capabilities are looking for a talented individual to be part of our friendly team environment!

Our furnaces melt stainless steel, aluminium, bronze, cast iron and specialty alloys. Our foundry has the capability to make many types of parts. Such as irrigation components, impellers, and casings for pumps, as well as glands and fittings for rotary and herringbone milking systems. Our foundries are: sand casting, die casting, and investment casting.

Job description: Perform a range of production process tasks to melt and treat metals, fire ceramics, and operate the plant to produce and finish cast metal components. Other tasks include making hard sand and green sand moulds. Making Cores. Fettle castings in preparation for machining.

Job Requirements

Previous relevant experience and NZQF Level 3 and 4 trade qualification in Engineering is an advantage but training may be offered to to candidates displaying a dedication to learning this trade.
