A hotel on the North Shore is looking for a Junior Maintenance Person to join its team. You will be responsible for performing minor repairs and general property maintenance. Tasks include basic plumbing and bathroom maintenance, tiling, regrouting, painting, patching, changing light bulbs, fixing doors, moving furniture, basic and other ad-hoc tasks. All repairs and works must be completed to a high standard, be compliant with relevant safety standards, and properly documented. Honesty and integrity are essential in this role. This is a full-time position of 30 hours per week with flexibility around working hours. The role is 6 hours per day however start/finish times might vary according to the tasks at hand. Interested? Job Requirements

To be considered for this role you will have sound knowledge of general maintenance, proven handyperson skills, and high attention to detail and Health & Safety practices. You will be physically fit, punctual, and reliable. Able to work unsupervised and meet deadlines. Previous hotel, apartment, or hospitality roles will be beneficial. Holding a driver’s licence and access to your own reliable transport is advantageous but not essential. Must be able to pass a Drugs test and a Police Vetting check.

Days of work
Monday to Friday, occasional weekend work in case of emergency or special projects. (30 hours per week)
