Preparing Work Area: Assessing the job site and preparing the area for insulation installation, which may involve removing old insulation, cleaning surfaces, and ensuring proper ventilation.

Measuring and Cutting Insulation: Taking precise measurements of the space to be insulated and cutting insulation materials to fit accordingly. This may involve using specialized tools such as utility knives, scissors, or insulation cutting machines.

Installing Insulation: Placing insulation materials into walls, ceilings, floors, attics, or other areas using appropriate techniques. This may include stapling, nailing, taping, or gluing insulation in place.

Sealing Gaps and Air Leaks: Ensuring a tight seal around pipes, ducts, windows, doors, and other openings to prevent air leakage and maximize energy efficiency.

Working with Various Insulation Materials: Handling and installing different types of insulation materials, such as fiberglass, cellulose, foam, or spray insulation, depending on the specific requirements of the project.

Following Safety Protocols: Adhering to safety guidelines and regulations to minimize risks associated with handling insulation materials, including wearing appropriate protective gear such as gloves, goggles, and respirators.

Maintaining Tools and Equipment: Keeping insulation tools and equipment in good working condition by cleaning, lubricating, and performing routine maintenance as needed.

Troubleshooting: Identifying and addressing any issues or challenges that may arise during the insulation installation process, such as obstacles, irregularities, or material defects.

Working Efficiently: Completing insulation installation projects within specified timeframes while maintaining quality standards and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Collaborating with Other Trades: Coordinating with other construction professionals, such as contractors, electricians, and plumbers, to ensure that insulation installation integrates seamlessly with other aspects of building construction or renovation.

Job Requirements

• Happy to work underfloor if required • Early morning starts • Ability to cut and measure pink bats accurately • No issues working with pink bats on a daily • Can follow instruction from supervisor with no issues • Get on with other workers • Pass drug test and disclose conviction and gang affiliations • Can drive manual- full licence preferred
