We are seeking dedicated individuals for the role of Meat Processing Team Member at our Swannanoa factory. If you are detail-oriented and committed to quality, we want to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities: Carcass Processing: Process carcasses of slaughtered livestock to prepare various meat and meat products. Offal and Tripe Processing: Handle offal and tripe to ensure they meet quality standards. Storage: Move carcasses to chillers and freezers for proper storage. Loading and Packing: Load meat products into trucks and pack boned and sliced meat into cartons for shipment. Poultry Handling: Stun and shackle poultry for humane and efficient processing. Poultry Processing: Sever jugular veins, remove viscera, and clean poultry carcasses. Organ Separation: Extract organs and glands such as sweetbreads, livers, hearts, and spleens from poultry carcasses. Inspection and Grading: Inspect and grade poultry, fish, and shellfish based on size and quality.

Requirements: Previous experience in meat processing or a similar field is preferred but not essential as training is available. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Strong attention to detail and commitment to hygiene and safety standards. Physical capability to handle heavy lifting and manual tasks. Good communication skills and a team-oriented approach.

Additional Requirements: Work Hours: Flexibility to work late nights during busy seasons (regular hourly rates apply). Team Player: Demonstrate strong teamwork skills and a sense of responsibility. Attention to Detail: Ability to work quickly while maintaining attention to detail. Physical Fitness: Capable of performing heavy lifting and other physically demanding tasks. Health and Safety Knowledge: Good understanding of health and safety regulations relevant to the meat processing industry.

Job Requirements

Full Class 1 Drivers licence and own reliable transport is required.

Drug Testing: Willingness to undergo a drug test prior to employment and potentially during employment to ensure workplace and food safety.
