Employer is seeking a Permanent Part Time Support Worker. Seeking motivated individuals with the ability to work at a adult residential setting. The support workers will work alongside people to optimise their potential, wellbeing, and their participation in the community. There are a variety of tasks including house management, community engagement, physical and mental health care support, and support for other life activities. We promote working from a trauma informed perspective and we work towards empowerment of all people living in the residences. The permanent part time position is in residential settings situated in Forbury. You would be working with a group of older people, and this might suit someone with experience in aged care. A desire to maximise quality of life for this group of people is essential. Previous experience working with people with mental health issues or disabilities is preferred but not essential

Job Requirements

Excellent communication and networking skills with the ability to build and sustain working relationships with our Tangata Whaiora (clients), colleagues and external agencies is essential. Previous work experience in mental health or aged care is desirable. A level 4 or other relevant qualification in mental health is desirable but not essential. CBCT supports staff to complete the New Zealand Certificate in Health and Wellbeing up to Level 4. • A full driver's licence is essential. • Must have NZ residency or a valid NZ work permit. • Successful applications will be required to undergo Police Vetting.
