ROXBURGH: Our Central Otago employer looking for an Orchard Administrator who’s ready to join a dynamic horticulture business in an extensive growth phase.

This role will be varied and fast moving. We’re looking for an experienced administrator looking for their next opportunity. This role is responsible for the smooth running of our busy orchard office, working closely with the orchard sector manager, assistant manager and remotely with our head office team in Hawkes Bay. This role will be the orchard's first point of contact and take care of day-to-day and adhoc tasks to keep our busy orchard team on track.

Duties include but are not limited to: • General Orchard Office Administration. • Phone and Visitor Enquiries • Couriers and Mail. • Supplier Quotes and Ordering including Packhouse. • Supplier Invoice Coding and Approval. • Chemical and Fuel Stock takes (Running Spreadsheet). • Spray Order Administration including Budget. • Global Gap Administration for all Orchards, Packhouse and Bendigo Grapes. • Plant Purchase Administration for Otago Blocks from Otago Level. • Machinery WOFs, Registration, Servicing, Certification & RUCs Administration including Vehicles. • Insurance Claim Administration. • Water Consent Administration. • Staff Advertising & Recruitment Administration as Approved and Directed by Head Office. • Preparing Casual Contracts, Ensuring Compliance, Checking Visa Entitlements. • Staff Inductions and Onboarding. • Entering New Staff into Hectre Timesheet System. • Weekly Reconciling Timesheets, Managing Leave Forms, Payroll Report Approval, South Island Staff Payroll Queries. • Staff Training Administration including Maintaining Training Register and Filing All Documentation. • Health & Safety Administration. • Other Tasks as Directed or Require.

Hours and days are:

Hours: • 30 – 42.5 Hours per week

Days: • Monday to Friday 8.00am – 5.00pm - some weekend work may be required at times and extra hours during our season November to February.

Wage: Pay rate is $25.00 - $30.00 per hour depending on experience.

Job Requirements

You must have the below prerequisites to be considered for this role: • 2+ years office administration experience. • Office administration experience (horticulture industry experience advantageous). • Excellent attention to detail. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. • Strong numeracy and data entry ability. • Strong customer service skills. • Solid organisation skills including the ability to prioritise and multitask. • Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office suit. • Ability to own tasks and manage small projects. • Hold New Zealand citizenship, New Zealand Permanent Residency, or a Valid New Zealand Work Permit. • You must be able to pass a police check and pre-employment drug test, as part of the employment process. • Full clean Class 1 Drivers License.

Days of work
Monday to Friday 8.00am – 5.00pm - some weekend work may be required at times. (30 hours per week)
