A Te Kuiti based employer is looking for someone to join their great fencing team. This employer started their business with rural fencing but has now branched out to building retaining walls, building stock yards, completing residential fencing and earthmoving work. The work that will be required is preparing, digging and building fencing which will require physical labouring work. Tractor driving work will be needed as required. The employer also has a digger so if you have digger operation experience this would be an assett to the employer. This role is not one where the days will be the same as there can be some tree felling work involved requiring chainsaw operation and safety around the felling of the trees. Experience that the employer will find to be helpful in this work would be forestry or farming experience. The employer is ex military so they pride themselves on taking health and safety seriously and their training skills. The employer currently has 3 other staff working with them and are looking to add an extra 2 staff to their great team as they have some large projects up and coming. All though the preference for the employer will be someone with experience they are happy to train someone up with no experience. The ideal candidate need have their own reliable transport to get to work daily in Te Kuiti as they will be picked up and taken to the job site from there. If the person is living in Otorohanga though and work is in this are the employer wouldn’t expect the employee to drive back to Te Kuiti. This role does require some stay away work where accommodation and good is provided but you will need to be able to have time away on stay out. You will need to be able to pass a drug test, as you will be required to work with big machinery and when working on farms you will need to be very safety concious. The days and hours of work will be Monday to Friday 7.30am – 5pm but these hours could vary and be less or more this is just a base point. Starting hourly rate is $25 per hour for new staff, anyone with experience will be negotiated dependant on experience. If this role sounds like you apply today!
