A small, friendly, family run Riwaka orchard is looking for kiwifruit pickers to join their team for harvest, from late March/early April to end of May. Possibility of continuing with pruning work after picking finishes. This role involves picking fruit from the kiwifruit canopy, to standards given by the supervisor.

You will need to have a good level of fitness and upper body strength as this work involves repetitive movements, working with your arms above your head, picking fruit into a picking bag worn on your shoulders. You must have the ability to work flexible hours, when weather is wet, or late morning starts due to dew on fruit.

If you enjoy working in outdoor conditions as part of a team, and are motivated, energetic, super reliable and have a great eye for detail this is the job for you! A bonus rate is paid if picking targets are met.

Job Requirements

You will need to have a good level of fitness and upper body strength.
